I like to be able to see the pictures when I am looking for images in Windows Explorer. Unfortunately, the default thumbnail size is too small to see the images easily. Luckily, there is an easy way to adjust the thumbnail size in XP.

Download and install Tweak UI from Microsoft at

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx.

After installing Tweak UI, go to All Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP and open “Tweak UI”.

Navigate to Explorer, Thumbnails. Adjust the thumbnail size, in pixels, to the size you want.

After the Exchange 2010 server migration, I could not access my email with Outlook from home. This was true with Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010. After checking all email settings and making sure the VPN was on, I still received the following error message:

“Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.”
This, with some extra text we don’t want, is a pullquote

Possible Fixes:

1. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913843/en-us and click on the icon “Fix it”. NOTE: You must be an administrator to run this fix.

2. Edit your Email account settings. Check with your network administrator for the settings.
